I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the manner that all members of staff at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital helped my late husband Bob James, me and my family last week. Sadly Bob collapsed after a heart attack in the city on 27th February and died 5 days later. I was taken urgently to the hospital and could not have been more impressed with the professional and caring manner with which they addressed their work and looked after us. Bob moved from the emergency department to intensive care and then to Cringleford ward. At all times we were kept fully informed about decisions and the management plan for Bob. We were very well cared for by everyone – including the domestic staff who were lovely and were very caring, similarly nurses on the ward led by the Sister, the doctor and her team and the physios who came twice a day and ensured that he was not distressed by clearing the difficult breathing he had. The facility for me to stay overnight in the room with my husband for his last few nights meant the absolute world to me. Please pass on my deepest thanks to all those who looked after us. I am afraid in the trauma of it all I cannot remember all their names. But they were all absolutely wonderful and caring in an awful time for my family and me and we really do appreciate them so much.
"Thank you"
