The staff in Hillingdon Hospitals maternity unit are very kind and caring and they put me at ease when I had our baby at their hospital and they made us feel like we were the only patients that needed to be helped that day, layout of maternity ward is good, not too far to walk from triage to labour ward. the midwife never left us alone and if she did it was only to get something for us, she kept us informed about everything and involved us in any decisions that had to be made. They were very caring and the midwife made my husband feel just as much involved in the process as me. Only criticism is that the doctors in the antenatal clinic are under a tremendous amount of pressure to get patients seen and this make you feel like just a number to the doctor. Also need to have blood taken for a test and they forgot and nurse who was supposed to take the blood went home. But other than that the maternity ward is a lovely place to give birth. I cannot fault the staff in the labour ward.
