I was sent to the medical assessment unit to help eliminate a blood clot on my lung.
My GP at Richmond arranged an ambulance (it wasn't a 999 call), and they were very quick, only took 45mins when they said 2hours.
I have been in 8 times over the past 12 months and have absolutely no problems at all in the way I was treated, outstanding service. My GP Dr Watson was outstanding.
I had a complication with a gall stone, Dr Johnson saved my life, my liver was leaking bile.
I just can't say enough - excellent.
Going back to my experience at hospital I was in Medical Assessment for 7 hours, they fed me and made me feel comfortable. I was a bit scared when the nurse came with the needle, but I am used to hospitals and trust them 100%.
I was really impressed with the MRSA screening, this was done within the first hour, really quick and very reassuring.
I thought the cleanliness was also very good, the medical assessent area seems to have been recently redecorated, new blinds, up to date and clean.
The only thing was that it was very cold in the X-ray department. It was freezing cold, but the staff knew this and were great, gave me a blanket and cup of tea.
