I attended the radiology department on Tuesday 6th May at 1420hrs. The radiology department receptionists need training in customer service. I stood at the reception desk and was totally ignored by the receptionist who was typing on the computer. She then proceeded to scan a document on the scanner still not acknowledging me. She then held out her hand and without any communication I placed my referral letter in her hand. She then told me to sit down. Whatever happened to customer service and professionalism. Many patients attending radiology will be worried or ill or both and a friendly " Hello can I help you" would go a long way to reducing those worries and fears. When I got to the second waiting room where the procedure was going to be carried out the staff were excellent -- especially the radiographer. Full marks to him
