I am having to have blood tests due to recent illness. The first time I went was 09:15 , the waiting room was packed, I was number 83 and they were only on 22, plus appointments. I waited over hour. When I asked the venesector what was the best time to come she suggested 12:30. The next blood test I attended was approx 12:30, although still busy as there was only one venesector. On Monday I again attended for a blood test, I got there at 12:15. The waiting room was packed, I went to get a ticket, however there were none left, and there was a hand written notice to say once all the tickets are gone there will be no more blood test for that day. This is not good enough, I ended up not having a blood test of which was important due to my blood levels and medication. Either a service is provided for the local community or not. It is important that the service keeps up the demand, but clearly at present this is not happening. There needs to more people employed and trained in taking bloods. Regards
