What could be improved

I'm trying the online booking. I've got so far, but now I haven't any idea what I should be doing now, and no idea whether I've got an appointment either! Does simply logging into the site and clicking on the option trigger the appointment process? Some guidance as to what to expect/do after you've passed Section 3 would be a good idea, I think, and useful to others.

Dear Fiona

Thank you for this enquiry and please accept our apologies for the delay in responding. This has been noted as an issue with the Choose and Book system and fed back to the National Clinical Lead. We have been contacted by two patients who have tried to book (and indeed think they have booked) an appointment, but at Step 3 of the process, they have not actually pressed the ‘Book Appointment’ button at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it is necessary to scroll down to see the ‘Book Appointment’ button, so it is not obvious that it exists. The National Team responsible for Choose and Book are working on making the website more user friendly.

It is possible to check if your appointment has actually been booked by logging into the website again, and inserting the Booking Reference Number (UBRN), password and any other infomation you are asked for. It should then be possible to see from there if an appointment has been booked.

We hope that you managed to arrange your appointment despite your frustrations whilst using the system.
