First referral at the beginning of April after a PSA blood test showed very high level.
Had appointment in April ( under a red flag). Hospital unable to do biopsy as my bladder would not empty. Sent home back to my doctors to get some alpha blockers which I had to take for 3 months, then have another PSA blood test (which was even higher(now 12. 1)).
Consultant sent me to the EASU to have a catheter fitted straight away as now my ureter was completely blocked by my very enlargef prostate. Had the catheter finally fitted at between 6:30 and 7pm. At 8: 30pm (my urology appointment was 2: 50) I was told as there was no bed available I was sent home and a District Nurse would call on me Saturday to check on me.
Got home at 9:30 and received phone call from the ward as I got indoors that they could not get hold of the district nurse and I have been given no information what is going to happen next. ie an operation to remove this large "growth" in my abdomen.
I am in constant pain unable to do anything house bound, feel that I have been sent home to die.
"Waiting for an operation to remove a possible cancerous prostate."
