My mum (who has Alzheimer's) had another out-patient appointment with the plastic surgery team. As ever, the service was person-centred, and dementia-friendly. There was no-one in medical photography, so the consultant asked if it was ok to take a photo on her phone and explained this would be sent via secure email. She also prescribed a cream that we were able to collect from pharmacy before we left, which was much appreciated.
All healthcare appointments should be like this.
"Person-centred service"
