"staff on ward 15"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I came in for an operation on 8/10/14 very frightened and apprehensive. The staff on ward 15 were brilliant, so kind and understanding. I was talked through my procedure in a manner I understood by the medical team. My mum and dad were never made to feel "in the way" and were assured I was in the best hands. They were very impressed with the care. All staff were kind and curtious from the domestic to the ward sister. The theatre staff were excellent in particular the anaesthetist who helped me overcome my fear. Brilliant staff .Spotless ward and a credit to the trust

Dear Heather, I do hope things are going well for you at home after your op. Can I thank you for taking the time to give us this lovely review ? Hospitals can feel like very scary places when you don't spend a lot of time in them - it's great to know that ward 15, the team in theatre and the kind anaesthetist all played their part in helping you feel safe and well care for. I'm glad we looked after your Mum and dad too, and allowed them to feel confident you were in the right place. We will pass on your kind words - they will mean a great deal to our staff who are committed to making a difference every day. Thank you. Do take care of yourself and let us know if there's anything you need, Annie
