My daughter has been poorly twice in the past month, and backwards and forwards to the hospital on numerous occasions. She spent a week on daycare ward the first time.. With a huge kidney stone that was removed surgically in the end. My daughter may be 18 but she is still my baby and it was so hard leaving her in hospital and in so much pain. The staff have all been truly wonderful. They have been kind and thoughtful. The ward is immaculately clean. On this most recent trip my daughter was put on a different ward at first and we requested she be taken back down to daycare. Unfortunately the care hadn't been so great on maple ward. Thankfully she has been moved and is still on daycare now. She had had new procedures now and is still in incredible pain but I really can't thank the staff enough for the unbelievable care they are giving her. I sometimes think the word "care" is used too frequently. Doing a job because it needs doing is one thing.. But each and every member of staff we have come across down there truly cares about the patients and their dignity and well being. Thank you so very much I should also say that the urology and general surgeons and doctors we have spoken to have been great. They took time to answer our questions and we never felt rushed or silly for asking anything.
"Staff on daycare ward are the best!"
