"Question about parking at wansbeck general hospital"

About: Wansbeck Hospital / General surgery

(as a staff member),

My father gave me a lift up to an outpatient clinic last year we used his car as it was advised that I didn't drive after the procedure I was having. as a staff member I already pay for parking at wansbeck. My dad waited for me inside his car in the car park and I was only gone about 30 minutes. A few days later my dad was given a fine by parking eye which he paid in full. I myself was on maternity leave at this time so I didn't know about parking eye. Is my dad eligible for a refund, he is a pensioner who was doing me a favour and was unaware of the parking system.

Dear Colleague,

Thanks for getting in touch. I can appreciate that your concerns are for you father and I'm sorry if the fine he received last year felt unfair.

As you know the Trust, after listening to concerns from patients, families and members of the local community, took the decision to end the contact with Parking Eye.

As a result, I am not sure what can be done to pursue a refund after so much time has passed?

I can see from your review that you are a member of staff. If you contact Janet Hull in our estates department she will be the best person to advise you. Janet.Hull@nhct.nhs.uk

Best wishes,

Jo
