I was referred in june/ July 2014 as I had blood in urine. My appointment was 15August and I had an ultrasound and x-ray. Then on 2nd September I had a bladder exam by camera. The doctor said that I would have a CT scan and it no kidney stones would be discharged. As a letter was sent to my GP' but not to me as requested' it was the first times stones had been mentioned.. The CT was done on 2nd October but I have never seen anyone from the actual department since the 2nd September. It is now the 12th December, ( 15 weeks since the clinic and 10weeks since the CT scan). In the 15weeks I have been in much pain, profuse bleeding in my urine and thick urine with thousands of small shreds of crystals. Apparently my GP cannot do anything about it because " the hospital is dealing with it". I did pass a stone and have it still to be analysed but when on earth am I going to get an appointment to see anyone at all even to give them the stone.. Perhaps they don't bother when you are over 70. I have been waiting since august to go abroad as my only brother lives abroad and I cannot get travel insurance. I did phone several times to no avail but have just managed this week to speak to the secretary who said that they have just had a meeting with the x-ray dept as the pics were not clear? Why on earth did they not see me as I at least could have given them proof. Per the letter to my GP there is more than one stone. More than 10 weeks now waiting for the results of a CT. Almost 6 months since blood found in urine. Shocking complete lack of communication or care.
"no communication from the freeman"
