I arrived at A and E at about 3am and was seen by a doctor an hour later, he sat patiently as I tried to describe my weird symptoms. I had lost sensation in my legs and my right leg had turned white from my toes up to my knee I had been to my GP a few days earlier who had done blood tests but was concerned about the fact that my symptoms were spreading quite quickly it was her that told me to go to the hospital if I got worse
After a thorough examination he had an x-ray done to check for compression of my spine though he said I would need an MRI particularly as I have had previous problems. He kindly showed me the x-ray and explained to me his concerns. when I told him that I had had some done several years ago he brought them up to review the comments and again explained the situation in easy terms he also checked the results of my blood tests, most were ok but one showed issues. he gave me some advise on how to improve things by a change in my diet. I was really impressed by his concern was reassured by his manner even though the department had been busy and the staff must have been tired. We should be thankful for the work done on our behalf and for our NHS
Thank you all the staff on A and E at Newcross
