"Excellent Care"

Unfortunately our mother passed away on Monday 19th January 2015, but prior to her death she was cared for by Staff on the Orsett Ward at Basildon Hospital. Her care and treatment were second to none and everybody contributed to our mum being happy whilst she was so poorly. We were treated with the utmost respect throughout her stay and mum was treated with dignity and empathy. You hear so many bad stories about the hospital in the press but nobody ever thinks to say when they have received excellent treatment. The staff worked extremely hard to fulfil our mum's wishes to be home for Xmas and she was over the moon when she was allowed out for 6 hours on boxing day. This was only possible due to the help we received for equipment etc from all the various support agencies. Our mother chose to go home for her last few weeks and once again we were given the best support which was set up by the Orsett Ward. Thank you so much for making such a sad time bearable.
