My wife and I came in to Queens Birthing Centre on 29th December 2014 PM, and we were delighted to have a baby girl (whom we have now named Yamuna) on 30th December AM. We would like to ensure the midwife staff that were helping us through our stay are commended for being absolutely lovely! From start to finish, we had 3 midwives and 1 student midwife looking after us who was very supportive. In the end, when baby Yamuna was finally born - we had 3 midwives in the room expressing their encouragement to my wife through the final stages before birth! We appreciate this would not always be the case for everyone - so feel very grateful. All the above staff were polite, very caring, and a pleasure to have around during the birth of our first child. Can you kindly pass on our compliments to these staff members with our sincerest gratitude and appreciation for all they did. In addition, the Birth Centre room that we were given was a great place to have a baby. The room was spacious and ambient in lighting - very appropriate for the build-up to labour. It even had an artificial candle in the room, as well as a music station with a dock and AUX cable port too! It was a very well-designed room and we can only speak glowingly of our experience there - certainly we will recommend it to other mothers to our family and friends - the birthing pool was an amazing God-send for my wife!
