Recently I have had surgery on my right knee; I was only in for the day. The ward I was supposed to be on had been changed. I was told later that the ward I went on they share between each other, which I thought was really nice. My named nurse was really nice, a bit funny at times; she kept me at ease and calmed me down. She even came with me to theatre and kept me calm as I was really frightened.
All the theatre staff where great, made me laugh by telling me jokes and kept me from thinking about what was going on. The recover nurses where really great as I was quite poorly afterwards. When I was back on the ward the nurses where very caring, did my obs every 15 minutes and just basically checked on me. They helped me to the bathroom etc. I cannot fault the care and professionalism of these incredible staff. They are a big asset to our care. I owe a big debt to the nurses and doctors. A big thank you.
"Thank you for great care"
