An efficient operation with a good atmosphere and excellent staff who fall over themselves to be helpful. It is thus a real shame that A&E Triage at this hospital is such a complete shambolic mess that I am unable to recommend people use them (the A&E Triage Management Team should be sent to the RVI to see how to run an acceptable to good operation regardless of demand. I am guessing they are of the type who never leave their office, get in management consultants, but then feed the consultants a load of duff information because they have no idea what is going on 'down on the floor' as they do not 'manage' daily operations).

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent visit to both the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) and A&E at the University Hospital of North Durham I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience in A&E on this occasion and we will make sure your feedback is passed to the Matron to discuss with the staff in the department.
