About: Arrowe Park Hospital

I reported to the Seal Unit at 11am yesterday for a procedure under General Anaesthetic. The Unit was busy but the Staff took everything in their stride the Receptionist who dealt with me was lovely, the Nurse who came and booked me in was lovely in fact everyone at the Seal Unit was lovely. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. I was informed what would be happening every step of the way. Theatre team were friendly which helps when you probably are at a vulnerable stage of the procedure and made me feel quite relaxed then put me to sleep. Recovery was a busy area but again the Staff were caring and Professional at all times. Then I was taken to Ward 1 where I received a most welcome cup of delicious coffee an 2 slices of hot buttered toast. Again this area was busy but Staff were again Caring & Professional. I would just like to say Thank you to all who took great care of me yesterday xx

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to staff in our SEAL unit and Ward 1. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
