My experience of Princess Alexandra Hospital is faultless. My Mum 87 year old mum was admitted with heart failure and other complications early March. Sadly she passed away during her stay but I am satisfied that, if she had to die in hospital, she was in the best place. The contrast between the Lister Ward at Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Over Eighties Ward (9th Floor) of Lister Hospital, Stevenage, is unbelievable. Here, at Harlow, the staff were polite, kind, caring, accommodating, showed concern and respect for the patients, were always on hand to care for their patients whenever needed. The ward was always clean and tidy, the food looked good, and the staff kept track of whether patients were eating, and encouraged patients to eat. The staff liaised with me by telephone (I live in West Sussex, on the coast), keeping me posted on my mum's condition. All these things were lacking during my mum's earlier stay at Stevenage. I cannot praise the staff of Lister Ward enough. Thank you.
