"Northern General - Chesterman 4 - Bay E - Heart Surgery"

About: Northern General Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was admitted by the hospital for heart surgery main artery and valve replacement. It wasn't a GP referral was a scheduled operation, I had to wait 3 years for the operation until I lost weight.

I was only in the admissions ward overnight - could have a laugh with the nurses. Every 10-15mins they were checking up on me, for there little cotton socks off for me. I learned more the sister in 3days than I have from anyone in 5 years. I went into theatre on the thursday - good communication here. I am very happy, smashing service.

Thanks to all the staff on Chesterman 4.

However the parking was bad. Also the Patient TV system is a rip off, £1 per min to use the radio, 50p per min for the phone and the TV is approx £7 per day
