Admitted with severe abdominal pains, which resulted in me having emergency laprasopic surgery to remove a very large cyst from my ovaries and a large amount of endemetriosis. I was with a gynocololical surgeon who was utterly amazing. Beside manner, sympathetic to my needs, I felt listened to and cared for. They were so amazing and they changed my life with the surgery. All staff were brilliant and the ward is excellent. Clean, freshly painted And just as good As a private hospital experience (albeit with a few more people in your room!). The only downside is the aftercare. I have 3 plasters on the incisions, which are now hard and I don't know whether to leave them on or take them off! Also, post op anaesthesia was lousy paracetamol. I ended up on co-codomol after such surgery! All in all, 9/10 for them. Many thanks for your care and support during this time. Caroline smith (bed 6, ward 1. Admitted last weekend -29/05/15). ??
