Referral through the Perinatal support service to support a mum to access baby groups locally to decrease their isolation and promote both the mothers and childs emotional wellbeing and development.
At the time of my referral to Arnbrook children's centre I was feeling very low and down and my self worth was very low. I found it hard to leave the house.
A family support worker visited me at home to introduce me to the service and we discussed what support would best meet mine and my childrens needs. The family support worker attended the local Sure start baby group with me on several occasions to increase my confidence and also to offer advise on other worries I had, she helped me with behaviour advise for my middle child, sleep advise, weaning support and support around other issues I disclosed at the time. The staff were brillient! , amazing support and amazing girls! ! .
I now feel much more confident, I'm able to get out more and be sociable. My confidence has increased so much that I am thinking of starting my own small buisness, Im feeling so much happier now. I'm due to move soon to a new area and feel I now know where to go for support if I need it. Thank you so much for all your support.
