The mindfulness course has had (and will hopefully continue to have) a positive effect on my mental and emotional health.
I have been shown effective ways to deal with stress, pain and negative experiences, especially unhelpful thinking patterns.
I think this will help me cope with migraines as I have learnt how to accept pain and not add any secondary pain or stress.
The hand outs that we were given at the end of the last session are written clearly and contain everything we learned over the 8 sessions, which will be really helpful for me to read up on in the future. ( as I do with the hand-outs that I received at the steps course a year ago). The facilitators are excellent at listening in a non-judgemental way and they provided a safe environment to learn in a group.
