"Rheumatology appointment at Broomfield Hospital"

This was a follow up appointment with the same consultant. Although polite, the consultant seemed to have no time to explain my possible diagnosis - I was not given any literature until I had left the consultants room and the nurse who had been attendance in the room found me in the main reception area and gave me a leaflet. I asked questions to the consultant, but the responses were very brief and I came away feeling very deflated. Having been given a potential diagnosis, I would expect the consultant then to explain what it means, not for me to have to come home and look it up on the internet. The consultant seemed not to have looked at my notes before I came into the room and spent the first few minutes looking at blood test results, which did not instil confidence in me.
