What I liked
On December 25th 2007 I was taken to Barnely District General Hospital(BDGH) with suspected Bacterial Meningitus. The staff that treated me there were fantastic. Unfortunatley I am illergic to Penicillin and a Penicillin substitute and so I had to have a special drip made up for me. The pharmacy workers were fantastic and later came to see me, and to check on my recovery. I left BDGH on the 2nd January. While I stayed in the hospital my family were kept informed constantly and reassured by both the Nurses and the Doctors. I was told about my medication, what i was been given and why. The hospital was very clean and all vistors/staff members were made to wash their hands before and after entering my room and wore the gowns and masks provided to ensure complete safty to both visitors and other patients. I was treated with the upmost of kindness and dignity at all times.
What could be improved
The receptionist was however quite rude and impatient while I was obviously in pain and suffering.
