"GP practice - attitude of receptionist"

I tried to book an appointment at my local Medical Centre. I have been a patient at this practice for many years, and I usually get to see the same GP there, who knows me, so that is good. I feel that the attitude of the receptionists has changed over time though, they can be quite abrupt when telling you there are no appointments. They say the doctor will call to see if you need an appointment, or they say call back at 3pm, but when I did the appointments were gone already.
