I went for my first pregnancy scan at around 12 weeks and was told that they could not find a heartbeat, the baby had not survived and had only reached 10 weeks. Myself and my partner were devastated and in total shock as I never had any bleeding, no pains and was still getting bad morning sickness.
We were then taken to another room, as I was still carrying we were informed about the three options as to the next stage. Each time the nurse called our miscarried baby "A Product", this wasn't a product to us but our baby and I think to use that term was immoral, distressing and dam right insensitive. Under no circumstances regardless of how many weeks it was when it died, it should never ever be called that. Those words will haunt us for the rest of our lives.
"Miscarriage"
