I'm writing this to express my heartfelt thanks to the staff of the EPAC unit and Recurring miscarriage clinic at the RVI. I have been a patient of this service over the past 4 years. Prior to the birth of my beautiful daughter in 2013 I had 3 early pregnancy losses, its difficult to describe how devastating this was and at the time I never thought I'd be lucky enough to have a successful pregnancy. Following my third loss I was referred into the RMC service, tests showed there was no cause found, and I have been treat with care and compassion ever since. I have had some wonderful, dedicated doctors, nurses, midwives and assistants looking after me along the way.
I was anxious about trying for another baby this time, but I was told I could be seen by EPAC again. Sure enough when I found out I was pregnant I phoned EPAC and was seen very swiftly for an early scan. Since my daughter was born the service has now been extended to 7 days with longer days and I have found this fantastic. It has been easy to make an appointment and I never felt rushed, the nurses have been so kind, I want to say a huge thanks to them for helping ease my anxieties in the early days, they are angels! I'm now discharged from EPAC and under normal ante natal care, I'm over the moon to be normal!! Ante natal and maternity have been wonderful too, I have every faith in the staff to continue to look after us.
I can't fault the care I've received in Gynaecology and EPAC, the staff are dealing with highly anxious patients and people going through difficult times every day and yet I was always made to feel like my pregnancy was really important.
Please keep this wonderful service, it has saved my sanity! Reassurance is so important following miscarriages and this service is first class when it comes to TLC.
Thank you all so much I'll be eternally grateful for your kindness and support.
