I was admitted to Saxmundham Ward on Monday 8th June, having broken my hip whilst playing tennis (in the wrong shoes!).
For the whole of the fortnight I was there, I couldn't have received better treatment.
From the ambulance crew from I know not where who scraped me off the tarmac, to all the staff - doctors, nurses, physios, meals on wheels staff, etc., who looked after me so brilliantly - an enormous and heartfelt thank you.
I felt I was looked after with love and care, never once did I feel I was being neglected in any way nor that I was being a nuisance.
I've never broken any bone before, if I ever do so again I hope it will be near to Ipswich General so that I can spend some more time with all you lovely, hard-working and dedicated people.
It is now almost four months since the fall, and I reckon I am 98% recovered; driving, swimming, lots of walking, still doing my physic exercises - all thanks to you!!
"Wonderful Saxmundham Ward!"
