My son Liam was born in 1998. He was born with no oespagus (T.O.F - Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula) he was transferred over to the R.V.I Newcastle. He was a few hours old when he had a gastrostomy tube in his stomach. When he was about 3months old he had his operation. They could not do the operation because there was problem, so he a oesphagostmy, then he came home. He went back in hospital then he had a number of operations. He had a big operation which was not supposed to work but it did. I have a slight problem with him at the moment, he has a constant runny nose i dont know if any older people have had this problem. I would like to thank the R.V.I. staff and Mr Barratt and his staff for taking care of Liam. Thank you.
