What could be improved
I was an in patient in ward 13 This ward was a secured ward and contained many disturbed and elderly patients who had difficulty managing the toilet themselves. The day staff were excellent but the night staff were never the same two nights running and were totally unaware of the patients condition and and seemed to be running on minimum numbers .Thet were on occasions quite rude and made no urgent attempt to answer the patients bell. On one occasion a young lady with only an operating gown walked into the bay proceeded to strip and get into an empty bed.I thought she may have recently had an operation so rang my bell and although mine was the only bell ringing it took seven minutes for any response.
Anything else?
I would never like to go into this ward again.
