Having found out we were pregnant and having to go to A&E, FPH and the local services have been outstanding from day 1. The care my wife received from that initial visit, through the consultancy apps (due to the initial complications) the various scans and the decision making has been excellent.
My wife was monitored thoroughly throughout and we were both kept fully informed at every stage, when additional scans/apps needed (of which there were many) the consultant explained everything and allayed any fears.
A decision was made to induce my wife 5 days early and the staff from when we walked in to out were nothing short of professional, courteous and extremely helpful. The handover of midwives was seamless, the transfer from the ante-post natal care was again of the highest order.
Upon discharge from the hospital, our designated midwife arrived the following day and continued the high level of care we had received so far. This was our midwife throughout the pregnancy and offered nothing but support, guidance and reassurance where needed. Always contactable in an emergency and quick to respond with an answer, despite an extremely busy schedule. This midwife has today discharged us from their care and it is no lie to say we will miss them.
In what has been at times an emotional and worrying pregnancy, this has been made much easier by the care and support of every member of NHS staff we have had dealings with.
