About: Good Hope Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a relative),

My husband was taken via an emergency ambulance to Good Hope hospital A&E resuscitation dept. He was very poorly with a racing heart beat upon arrival. Dave and his team were brilliant, my husband was with them for many hours before he was transferred to the acute medical ward.

My husband was told every procedure and drug before it was administered, everyone in the department was caring, friendly and there was a very calm atmosphere despite the very poorly patients and relatives on the ward. This has left us with a very lasting positive experience at a very worrying and traumatic time.

A very big thank you to Dave and his team.

thank you for your kind feedback, this is much appreciated. I have been working with Dave for many years, and he is indeed one of our best!

Sorry you had to wait so long for a bed, this is due to flow problems in our hospital, which we are trying to address. Fo example, since October we have nearly halved the number of patients waiting for social placement in our hospital, but we need to do more.

I will share your experience with the team.
