"Hands used to dispensing medication but overall thank you- Northern General"

About: Northern General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went into the Northern General for knee surgery last month.

There were kind and reassuring nurses on the ward I was on (H5) including the night staff.

I felt however, that i could have been better informed by the doctors of what exactly they had done and how good they thought it would be after the surgery.

Yes, I was very angry about one man, who was handling the tablets and dispensing them straight out of his hands and not in a pot which would have been normal practice. The day room cleanliness was also not up to scratch.

Special thanks to Emma who was very good and considerate and so were some of the other girls on my ward, sorry I don't know their names.
