I received outstanding nursing care and support, whilst I was at the Northern General last month for Colorectal Surgery.
However the treatment from a doctor whilst on F2 could have been better I think. A junior doctor was not available to provide care when it was needed this made me feel angry.
Consultant care was excellent but as I have stated, the care from a junior doctor was poor, his work load was too big. There needs to be a doctor just based on theatre admissions, to deal with medication changes, blood taking.
Additionally, ward hygiene facilities are desperate for an upgrade. Instead of building new buildings they need to upgrade the wards already there.
Nevertheless I would like to thank all the nursing staff.
