"Maternity Tour"

About: Lister Hospital

I am 20 weeks pregnant and had a tour of the maternity unit at Lister last night along with my husband.

I was so impressed at the attention to detail in the unit to ensure that families feel comfortable and 'at home' whilst giving birth. Everywhere was so clean, tidy and modern whilst still having everything I feel I will need.

I really felt like the staff encourage women to have a calm and natural birth as much as they possible can. The pools for the water birth were especially amazing and I love that they offer complimentary therapies in early labour such as aromatherapy massage.

I was so impressed with how caring the staff and facilities were - I am excited to give birth in what seems like such a lovely environment!
