I have been a patient at the WGH DCN dept for over 10 yrs and in that time I would say I have had my ups and downs when it comes to my care.
In 2015 I decided it was time to seek a 2nd opinion and was recommended a neurosurgeon who I'd previously met during one of my admissions.
I was given an appointment within 12 weeks to see this neurosurgeon, and all seemed well... but from there my life has been turned upside down by what I feel is a complete lack of care and compassion by this surgeon. I feel that this surgeon has played mind games with me.
I work for the NHS and so I'm not naive to what goes on but at this minute I'm writing this as a confused and frustrated upset patient who feels that their doctor has yet again ignored important details and done their own thing. I've had my condition 30yrs but yet I'm repeatedly told I know nothing about it.
"Serious concerns about my treatment and care"
