I brought a patient (as a volunteer car ambulance driver) for an appointment in the Audiology Department at 2. 45pm on day last week - an extremely HOT day. At 2. 50pm the audiologist and a receptionist, carrying drinks, came into the area and went behind the desk at the reception. They chatted for a further 5 minutes this making it now 2. 55pm (10 minutes after the patient's appointment. The Audiologist then looked at the screen announced my patients name and walked towards their room!
It must be pointed out that my patient is severely disabled and quite old and the day concerned was very hot, especially in Manderville House and this total disregard to time could badly effect other peoples appointment schedule.
