I was at royal Bolton the other wk, but have been in lots of times.
I was in agony with stomach pains, it was well over 1 hr before I was given anything to relieve it.
Was admitted on F3.
Following morning went to bathroom for wash.
On the toilet, was a bed pan, left there for the specimen to be tested.
I asked a nurse to move it, this was done, &put under the towel rail!!!!!!!
Hence I couldn't use the rail for towel.
There was another bed pan on the chair, which is supposed to be there for you to sit on,after all, we are ill to be there!!!!
I wish another method was used for these specimens to be collected,as I have seen them left for hrs over the yrs I have been a patient.
The smell is horrible, it is not pleasant to see, & I regard it as a health hazard.
"A&E plus toilets on wards!"
