I was admitted as an emergency with high fever, low blood pressure, swelling and redness of the leg and feeling rather poorly. The doctors in A&E were quick to see me and very professional. I was shortly transferred to the Middleton Assesment unit where I was seen by more doctors. They were assessing what may be the cause of my problem and kept me informed at all stages. After a night there, I was transferred to Maple ward where they eliminated DVT and diagnosed a bad case of cellulitis. At all stages of my stay the staff from cleaners, HCA's, nurses, doctors and consultants not forgetting radiographer a and porters were all professional, kind, open, honest and hard working. I really can't thank everyone enough and understand how hard it is with fewer resources. They were all outstanding. I forgot to mention the food, which in my opinion was fabulous for hospital food. Thank you all, you are all the real super heroes of today.
