My fiesty one year old son was brought in to a&e by ambulance on the 22nd of September and from the moment he began being treated i was very impressed. Obviously being in a and e with an unwell baby on your own is stressful and worrying to say the least, the triage nurse found a buggy for us to use as I was struggling to keep him settled, the doctor on duty that night was very professional and brilliant with my son and before we got moved to E5 he gave my son a teddy which is now his comforter and sleeps with it every night. We spent 2 nights on E5 and the staff were such a credit to the NHS the nurses that was on duty in bay 1 over our time here were so kind and compassionate, during one of our nights here one of the nurses was actually searching the floors or the ward with me for my sons dummy which he flung from his cot. Also the play worker on duty was amazing too not only with my son but I heard them with other older patients and the way they reassured them when they were nervous and explained what was going to happen was so lovely. Not an experience I ever want to have again but I can honestly say the staff made the few days we were there comfortable and restored my faith in the nhs please pass on my message to them as I didn't get a chance to thank them all before we left.
"Amazing staff"
