"root canal referal lost"

About: Leeds Dental Hospital / Dental medicine specialities

(as the patient),

Finally after a whole year I've been back for my root canal that my dentist referral there. Sadly while been there I was informed there was no referral made. If not why else would I be there. Checked with my normal dentist and they confirmed the referral was sent back in July so it seems the dental hospital had lost it meaning that my treatment gas to wait another 18 weeks. So I'm sat here with my 2nd abscess of October in extreme pain and swollen face due to someone's disorganisation

Dear MummyAJ,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

I am very sorry to read that of the poor experience you have had whilst in our care; the level of service that you have described is not what we wish to offer.

It would be very beneficial for our services and for future patients if you could discuss the matters you have raised further with our Trust’s Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS). This would also allow us look into the matters you have raised more thoroughly.

Please call our Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0113 206 6261 or alternatively email patientexperience.leedsth@nhs.net
