"Ward 104 has a fabulous team"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology (Stomach and Gut)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward 104 and spent 10 days there for treatment and assessment. I continue to attend as an outpatient.

The care provided was and still is faultless. The ward is staffed by a fantastic team. From the lovely Govinda who does the floors each day and always found time to ask if I was feeling better; the phlebotomists who struggled to get blood but had endless patience; the HCSWs who were always helpful and cheery; the consultants who clearly explained what was happening and always had time for my questions; and the fantastic nursing team for which nothing was too much trouble - even on the occasions they were short staffed, and not forgetting the all important people who came with cups of tea every few hours!

I cannot express how grateful I am to all those involved in my care both during my stay, and as an outpatient. Ward 104 has a fabulous team, and I hope they realise how much patients like myself appreciate them.

Dear Aragorn,

Thanks for sharing your experience in ward 104. I am really sorry that we didn't respond to your post- we were changing the way we responded to the feedback we received via Care Opinion at that time and your story was missed.

Your story will still be shared with the whole team in 104 who I'm sure will really appreciate your kind words and comments.

Best wishes,

Kirsten
