"A&E, Fracture Clinic, MRI Waiting List"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

On the 25th November, approximately 10:00am

I was unlucky that I had to visit A&E due to a fall. On arrival to the department was in alot pain and could barely stand. I was hanging on to the reception desk crying in pain. I was left standing for 3-5 minutes whilst the reception ask me for my personal information. If I didn't inform the receptionist that I couldn't stand for any longer. I believe I would be still standing. Wheel chair was then brought out for me to sit on. I was the seen by triage nurse, to review my leg then referred to minor injuries. Only to be reviewed by another nurse 4 hours later. After the review of the x-ray they was no broken bones. I was issues with a brace and crutches and sent home, with the instructions to contact the fracture clinic in 2 working days to arrange appointment. I was informed at this stay it would be at least 7-10 days until I will be able to be seen by the fracture clinic. On the 29th November I received a texts message informing me of an appointment at the hospital. A day later a letter confirming the appointment. 1st December I had my appointment with the fracture clinic consultant, only to be told that I had no broken bones, and MRI scan was need. Leaving it another two working I after the appointments I contact the MRI team, only to be told that I could be waiting up to 9 weeks for an appointment. This would mean I would have an MRI scan approximately around the 9th February, 2017. Then have to wait another 7-10 days back with fracture clinic consultant. So you could say that the next time I see a consultant will be March 2017. I can barely walk I am able to bend my knee I haven't sleep well since the 25th November, and I completely unaware if I causing more damage to my leg. I have no diagnosis,
