"Mixed care on knee at West Middlesex hospital"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

(as the patient),

I was sent to the West Middlesex University Hospital to see a consultant about trouble with my left knee. I chose that over the Charring Cross Hospital as it was easier to park there. I waited over an hour to see the consultant. I had to go back for an x-ray. It was emailed to the consultant's computer so I didn't have to wait for the film to be developed.

I had an arthroscopy on my left knee at The Ravenscourt Part Hospital W6, with which the NHS Trust had a contract. I was tested for MRSA etc. two weeks before the op. The test came back negative. I went in on the appointed day (unusual in my family's experience which has been near-catastrophic). I had my operation in the morning and walked out in the afternoon. I had a follow up at The West Middlesex, where again I had to wait sometime and the appointments system was chaotic. My knee now works fine.
