Having had trouble with discharge and blood from both nipples i was referred by my GP to the breast clinic.
Having previously had a lump removed, she decided i required seeing for further investigations. I was seen by a doctor within a matter of a few weeks, he then suggested we see if the problem continues and requested to see me again in a further 6 weeks.
I attended and this time saw a female doctor. She got a 2nd opinion from mr ellenbogen and they decided together to do a procedure called the Hadfield procedure, first on the right nipple then once healed, the left.
Everything was explained to me and my op and pre-op was booked there and then. I went for my op mid-May and was told the biopsy result would be with them in 10 days. I am still however waiting for an appointment. i rang mr ellenbogens secretary a few weeks ago and she told me an appointment was being made as he had reviewed the results and wished to discuss them further, but still no appointment has arrived.
I have had a discharge letter stating i require further treatment, but no appointment.
