"Great medical care, but no privacy at Surrey"

I was admitted as a day patient for a straightforward D&C (Dilation and Curettage) surgery in 2006. The nurses and the surgical team were great, the day ward was clean but there was no privacy - I could clearly hear what was being discussed with the other patients around me, especially in the adjacent beds. The hospital in general seemed quite "tatty" in areas, but the quality of care I couldn't fault.
