"Thumbs up for Rainbow children's ward"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

My 2 week old newborn had to spend 5 days in the children's ward at QEQM. The staff made a worrying time as pleasant as possible and were very kind. They looked after my baby and I, who were both still recovering from the birth, checking on us regularly, answering questions and introducing themselves at handover times. The facilities within the ward helped us settle (kitchen, showers, playroom etc) and the room we were in was clean and bins/bedding changed regularly. During the night, staff made every effort to keep a calm environment so patients can rest eg dimmed lights, quiet. Thank you to all.

Dear Mrs B

Thank you so much for your kind review. I am so pleased that you and your new baby had a positive experience in our care. Thank you for taking the trouble to write in and I do hope you are both doing well.

Take care
