Working with the Patient Experience Team has given me confidence and responsibility for myself. I have learnt many things such as interviewing, taking part in team meetings and other day to day things.
I have a reason for getting up in the morning and feel respected and valued amongst the team and my opinion is counted.
There are lots of opportunities and the patient experience team has allowed me to do different things.
My care at St Andrew's was mainly good and it has been the best hospital I have been in. My parents also feel that I got the best care whilst I have been at St Andrew's.
I feel as if the discharge care could be managed better. I would definitely recommend St Andrew's. It has a good range of activities and the wards do try to do things for you. I very much appreciated the gym staff who worked really hard to help me become fitter. The Doctor's surgery also helped me a lot with my weight.
I think that when people are ready to leave there should be a place such as Glendale for people to go to before the community - it really helped to give me some grounding.
Overall my experience of St Andrew's and the Patient Experience Team has been really positive.
