I had an ultrasound of my liver, I was informed my results would be ready relatively quickly, later that night. I had been referred to for this scan by a Medinet doctor, this was not made known to me at the time. There appears to be poor communication between the hospital and Medinet and my results have essentially sat somewhere for a week when they could have been getting processed.
Medinet say they have not received the results and Wishaw General are waiting on Medinet whilst I do all the running around to get the other to contact the other. I also feel that the quality of care from the Medinet side has been poor as there was also a mixup in getting my appointment in the first place.
Medinet have also been pushing me away when I contact by informing me that my results will take 3 weeks at the hospital to be processed before being sent to Medinet, whereas the X-ray department at Wishaw tell me they are ready. I cannot contact the consultant directly or a consultant’s secretary, this information is not allowed to be passed to me.
I feel this type of care is extremely impersonal and would like to be transferred to a Gastroenterology consultant at Wishaw General rather than dealing with Medinet.
On the other hand, your staff at Wishaw X-ray have been helpful whenever I have contacted and provided a good standard of service and communication.
